Fun at the Carnival.

As a kid, many of us probably dreamt of that classic carnival/fair. The type with popcorn, fairy-floss, colourful carnival tents and helium balloons. These dresses are based on the "Dream Carnival" that all kids would love to attend.

Sweet Sweet Fairy Floss.

Nothing says Summer like a Fair, and nothing says Fair more than Fairy Floss.
This dress either looks like Fairy Floss or a giant pink Marshmallow, I can't quite decide.

Fruit Salad.

 

Thought I might do a collection based on icy-poles but ended up doing it on fruit (I'll do the icy-pole theme later). I don't know why, I guess the colours in icy-poles some how reminded me of fruit. My brain works in weird ways.

The top design is of course based on a pineapple and the bottom design is based on all citrus fruits ie. Lemons, Limes, Grapefruits and Oranges.

Turquoise Coloured Ice.

It's a smoldering hot day today, topping at 41 degrees so i was dieing for an ice-block or a freezing cold pool to go jump in. Unfortunately, I got the ice-block not the pool. Anyway, the point is that this dress is based on melting ice...it doesn't really look it but the concept was in my head non-the less.
Oh, and guess what! I can now draw hands on hips! And faces! I guess there is one good thing about a boiling hot day and being trapped indoors with nothing but paper and pens.

Rose Petals.

For the first time in my life I drew a fashion figure to proportion. I have tried to do it before but it has always ended up looking out of proportion for something that's meant to be quite the opposite. So as you have probably noticed, all of the designs are on the same figure (It was too good only to use once).
The theme of this collection was the rose fabric that i created. It was a pain in the ass to draw and colour but worth it I suppose. I ended up wishing that I hadn't put green stems on the roses because it's just too overpowering, but oh well, there is always the next fifty designs.
My next mission is to succeed in drawing hands!
