I know that this isn't really a fashion design, but it is a painting I did a while ago and I just wanted to put it on here :)

Long time no post

 

As I have said before, all of my designs lately have been on A3 paper and I didn't really know how to scan them in using an A4 scanner. I now know how so here are a couple of my newest designs. Not really inspired by anything in particular.

I haven't uploaded in a while.

I haven't uploaded in a while because all of the recent designs I have done are on A3 paper which is more difficult to scan into the computer using and A4 scanner. there wasn't really any inspiration for this design  I just drew and this was the end result. Unfortunately, I don't really take all that good care of my drawings so this one was under a layer of random stuff on my desk hence why it looks all crinkled.

Bored at my grandpa's house.

Just as the title says, I was bored at my grandpa's house. Every Monday night we have dinner with my grandpa. On this one occasion well, there was probably more than one but who counts? Anyway, I had completely zoned out of my grandpa and parents conversation (they are very hard to keep track in given that I have no idea what they are talking about) and my mum got all snappy at me when i started to play games on my iPod, so i decided the best thing to do was to draw. She couldn't get snappy at me for that given that she is an art freak herself. 
 These are the results-not that great given i was drawing in pen and of course they had to be long gowns, saves me having to bother drawing legs.

To the Batmobile!

There are only three words needed...TO THE BATMOBILE! Of course, this is a swimsuit based on Batman. How could I not do one inspired by batman? He is the most commonly known superhero in history!

Green Arrow.

This Design is based on Green Arrow, and I quite like the illustration and design. The only annoyance is that i put so many layers of Copic marker on there that the paper has began to wrinkle which gives the illusion that the legs are stripey.

Green Lantern.

I stuffed up the face on this one but otherwise, I quite  like the design. If you haven't already guessed, or you haven't read the title, this swimsuit is based on Green Lantern. Hence the green lantern logo.

The Best Marvel Villain Of All Time.

The Riddler has got to be one of my all time favorite Marvel villains. If I had to be the evil mastermind accomplice to an evil Villain I would choose The Riddler hands down. So I thought it fit to design a swimsuit dedicated to the Riddler :)

Another Superhero Swimsuit. SPIDERMAN!

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No it's superman!

 

It was Australia day and I was watching the news and saw way too many people wearing the Australian flag as a cape and it got me thinking. Hey, Cape. Why don't I design swimsuits based on Superheros?

So here is the first one, Can you guess which superhero it is based on?

Fun at the Carnival.

As a kid, many of us probably dreamt of that classic carnival/fair. The type with popcorn, fairy-floss, colourful carnival tents and helium balloons. These dresses are based on the "Dream Carnival" that all kids would love to attend.

Sweet Sweet Fairy Floss.

Nothing says Summer like a Fair, and nothing says Fair more than Fairy Floss.
This dress either looks like Fairy Floss or a giant pink Marshmallow, I can't quite decide.

Fruit Salad.

 

Thought I might do a collection based on icy-poles but ended up doing it on fruit (I'll do the icy-pole theme later). I don't know why, I guess the colours in icy-poles some how reminded me of fruit. My brain works in weird ways.

The top design is of course based on a pineapple and the bottom design is based on all citrus fruits ie. Lemons, Limes, Grapefruits and Oranges.

Turquoise Coloured Ice.

It's a smoldering hot day today, topping at 41 degrees so i was dieing for an ice-block or a freezing cold pool to go jump in. Unfortunately, I got the ice-block not the pool. Anyway, the point is that this dress is based on melting ice...it doesn't really look it but the concept was in my head non-the less.
Oh, and guess what! I can now draw hands on hips! And faces! I guess there is one good thing about a boiling hot day and being trapped indoors with nothing but paper and pens.

Rose Petals.

For the first time in my life I drew a fashion figure to proportion. I have tried to do it before but it has always ended up looking out of proportion for something that's meant to be quite the opposite. So as you have probably noticed, all of the designs are on the same figure (It was too good only to use once).
The theme of this collection was the rose fabric that i created. It was a pain in the ass to draw and colour but worth it I suppose. I ended up wishing that I hadn't put green stems on the roses because it's just too overpowering, but oh well, there is always the next fifty designs.
My next mission is to succeed in drawing hands!
